Cherry Tree Youth Hub
Aimed at young people aged 10-18 (and up to 25 with SEND), our strong team of well motivated and enthusiastic youth workers are dedicated to improving the life chances of the young people they are in contact with.
We have been supporting young people in Beverley through our outreach programme which has been successful in reaching young people who may not wish to join in some of our structured activities but may be in need of support.
Our youth worker team all work with young people in their day jobs and happily work with the Cherry Tree managers to offer a fantastic youth club on evenings and weekends. The emphasis is on ‘fun’. We do have links with other agencies and we will often run sessions to support our young people and help them within their own community.
Our youth workers plan activities for the school holidays and have previously ran an out of schools sports group supported by The East Riding Council, to offer a fitness programme packed with a diverse range of activities and ensure all the young people who attended on Burden Road playing fields were well fed and watered too. We have also taken our young people on trips during half terms and in the school holidays to places such as Hull New Theatre, Gravity, and Walking with the Alpacas.
A new build is at the Mudhills Park, which has the following opening times:
Mondays: Age 12-14, 5.30pm to 7pm | Ages 15+, 7pm to 8.30pm
Tuesdays: Ages 10-12, 5pm to 6.30pm
Wednesdays: Ages 10-12, 5pm to 6.30pm
Thursdays: Ages 12-14, 5.30pm to 7pm | Ages 15+, 7pm to 8.30pm
Fridays: School years 7 to 11, 5pm to 7pm
The Beverley Cherry Tree Youth Club is ran with support of Beverley Town Council & East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
We are so grateful that BBC DIY SOS have supported us with our new youth building.
